Maintenance of the way-side signalling equipment and aid to driving of the
Metro, RER and Tramway
Since its creation in 1902, Ansaldo STS France has contributed to the Paris
Metro signalling system.
The RATP (Paris Regional Transportation Company) carries 6 million passengers
per day over 336 km of network.
Today, 80 Ansaldo STS France technicians and maintenance personnel look after
the equipment of 13 Metro lines and 2 RER (suburban) lines.
Their interventions are both preventive and corrective maintenance in order to
guarantee the operation of the network 7 days a week.
