Ansaldo STS is involved in the project as Contractor.
The Contracting authority is the Railway Infrastructure Administration
(
Správa železniční dopravní cesty) SŽDC. The Contractor is a Consortium
of:
- Ansaldo STS Italia (Leader, system integrator, supplier of Radio Block
Centre and Eurobalise, responsible for Testing and V&V)
- Ansaldo STS France (supplier of ETCS On-board, responsible for on-board
integration)
- A local subcontractor (AZD) is responsible for modification to existing
trackside, interlocking-RBC Interface (IRI), national STM LS90, construction
and installation activities
The contract was signed on 14 Apr 2005 and the Commencement Date was 1Jul
2005, while the commissioning of the project is foreseen on 31 Mar 2009.
The main Technical features of the pilot project are:
- pilot section 22 km long
- ERTMS/ETCS Class 1, Level 2 system according to the UNISIG SRS version
2.3.0
- 3 IXL ETB, ESA technologies and relay interlocking systems AŽD71: Poříčany
– Pečky – Velim
- New Interlocking - RBC interface
- Implementation of the Euroradio based safe protocol for the communication
IRI-RBC
- Development of STM National with the functionality of the national ATP
LS90
- Installation of the mobile part of the equipment on 4 locomotives of 3
different types.
The main requirement of the pilot project is the management of mixed traffic
on the same line: ETCS equipped trains running according to ETCS rules and
non-ETCS equipped trains running according to optical signals and national
ATP.
The on-board and the RBC fulfill the pilot project Functional Requirements
Specifications ensuring full ERTMS interoperability, the RBC functionalities
developed for the Italian High Speed are adapted to the functional requirements
of the pilot project.
The interlocking will be modified in order to provide to IRI the information
from the interlocking itself and to concentrate the information of the field
(e.g. automatic block, level crossing, line track circuits...)
