Signalling, ATC and ATS equipments of the Lisbon Metro Line D.
Commissioning: May 1998
This project included the design, manufacturing, testing, installation,
commissioning, training and warranty for:
- the signalling system including signals, point machines, track
circuits,
- train control movements (ATP and ATO),
- supervision (ATS)
This system, which uses the principles of the
SACEM system installed
on the Paris RER, is implemented on a safety computer based on High Speed line
technology. It significantly increases line capacity and improves safety
conditions.
The new train location system, which uses Doppler radar technology, allows a
train stopping precision of +/-15 cm in stations.
In total, 73 trains are equipped to ensure the transport of passengers with a
90-second headway.
Maintenance of the Lisbon Metro Line D ATP/ATO/ATS
systems
This project includes the preventive and corrective maintenance for the
on-board and wayside systems installed on line D, and PMO3 test track.
Ansaldo STS provides:
- the preventive & corrective maintenance for the 73 trains equipped
with ATP/ATO systems with less than 8 hours time delay to repair,
- preventive and corrective maintenance of ATS/CTC system 24h/24 with less
than 6 hours delay to repair,
- corrective maintenance aid for wayside equipment 24h/24 with less than 6
hours repair delay
- repaired product logistics
The service, delivered in collaboration between Lisbon Metro and
Ansaldo STS France Sucursal em Portugal for the signalling systems
(ATP/ATO/ATS/CTC), is dedicated to optimize resources and competencies while
insuring high availability for Lisbon Metro operation.
