The Seoul - Pusan High Speed Line constitutes the first High Speed Line
in revenue service in the country. Total track length is 412 km. The project
was divided in two phases. Phase One: Seoul - Taegu First section of the project included:
- Signalling
- ATC,
- Maintenance aid,
- Testing, Training and Commissioning
- Technology Transfer
Inauguration of the first section between Seoul and Taegu took place in
2004.
Adapting
TVM 430 to the Korean environment (60 Hz), as well as the
integration of a Korean automatic train stop sub-system, constituted the main
innovations of this project.
Phase Two: Taegu - Pusan This project includes:
- Design
- Supply part of the ATC equipment (TVM 430 wayside equipment, NS1 modules
and Hot Box Detectors)
- Test & Commissioning and Training
ATC equipment will allow the interface between the new High Speed line and
remaining classic sections.
The wayside signaling project is due for completion by end of December
2010.
