DRIVERLESS METRO IN LIMA
Ansaldo STS wins a turnkey contract worth 710 million USD for driverless metro in Lima, Peru. ProInversion, the Peruvian state-owned company acting on behalf of the Ministry of Transportation and telecommunication, assigned to the consortium ‘Nuevo Metro de Lima’ a 35-year concession contract for the Construction, Operation & Maintenance of Line 2 and a branch of Line 4 of the Lima metro.
HONOLULU DRIVERLESS METRO
Ansaldo Honolulu Joint Venture, a consortium comprising Finmeccanica companies Ansaldo STS (STS.MI) and AnsaldoBreda, has signed a contract with HART (Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation) to supply the technology and vehicles for the new driverless metro line for the City of Honolulu (State of Hawaii).
Finmeccanica confirms itself, once again, among the companies excelling in the areas of training, development and human resource management. Indeed, the Group has achieved the "Top Employer 2012" certification in two countries, Italy and the UK, improving on the result attained in 2011, when the honour was awarded just to the Italian zone.
